TERI SALT

Teri "Auntie Mom" Salt

Theresa Marjorie “Teri” Salt (née Warren) passed away suddenly at home on October 23rd, 2023, the day after her 69th birthday.

Beloved wife and best friend of Charlie Salt for 50 years. Much loved daughter of Joy Hillary Warren-Smith. Loving mother of Hillary and cherished grandmother of Bronson and Draeden.

“Auntie Mom” to daughters Michele and Laurie Ann, and sons Bill (Ronda), Rick (Michele), Kerry (Kim), Kelly (Sharon), and Neil, and others too numerous to mention. Predeceased by her brother Aaron Douglas Jr., her father Capt. Doug Warren, her stepfather Reimer Smith, and grandparents Sr. Major Henry, Marjorie Aaron, and Irene Warren.

Teri lived her life in Parry Sound and was devoted to her husband Charlie and the many children who entered their home. Teri loved her children beyond words. She is fondly remembered by her previous co-workers from Belvedere Heights, Seguin Sarah participants, and Parry Sound Horticulture Society members. Teri was well known in Parry Sound and Wasauksing First Nation for volunteering in many community events. She enjoyed following the Pow Wow Trail in the area with her daughter. Teri followed her parents strong role in serving others through the Salvation Army.

A Service in Celebration of Teri’s Life will take place at the The Salvation Army - Parry Sound Rainbow Country Church, 61 Gibson Street, on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 P.M.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, or Belvedere Heights Resident’s Social Activities would be appreciated.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I've had the honor of having the opportunity to get to spend time w/ Teri at Belvedere Heights, and in that short time, I found a person who was incredibly hard-working, who would never settle for less than the best for those that she cared about. She really did give all she could to those around her.
She had a sort of personality that could really light up your day, and I know things just won't be the same without her. I hope that this grief will heal, and be replaced with fond and loving memories of the person we have lost.

Our sincere condolences to Charlie and to the extended family. Teri was so kind and giving to so many kids - big and small, nearby and afar - including bringing magic as a secret fairy godmother to our little girl. Rest peacefully, you will be missed by many.

So sorry to see Teri's life cut short. She worked hard and long, deicated to helping others. I lived with her and Charlie when I was 18 for a short time. I helped work on their house on Forest St before they built the house on the Island. We had so much fun while working 🥰we kept in touch with Christmas cards, occasional phone call over the years. One of those regretful moments of not taking the time to go visit.
May you RIP Teri and hopefully Charlie can manage without his one and only 💔 ((Hugs))
