SUSAN CRAWFORD

Susan Carol Crawford (nee: Higman) passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre with loved ones by her side, on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, after a courageous fight with cancer. Age 69 years.

Adored sister of Julie Higman (Gary), Mike Higman (Kelly), Steve Higman, and Tina Higman. Cherished aunt of Nathan (Amanda), Sherry (Andrew), Keith (Amanda), Carolyn (Ross), Mathew (Tina), Melissa (Joel), and Andrew. Wonderful ‘Great Aunt Sue’ (G.A.S.) to Ella, Chloe, Lena, Mia, Raija, Daniel, and Archie.

Adored BFF of Terri and Kelly.

Susan will be missed by many relatives, friends, and neighbours. The whole village of Pointe au Baril will dearly miss her as she was a treasured resident of the community for many years.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. The staff are wonderful. The nurses go above and beyond; they are so sweet and compassionate and took great care of Sue, maintaining her dignity to the end, all while caring for her family and friends that were there for her.

As was Susan’s wish, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pointe au Baril Community Centre, 70 South Shore Road, Pointe au Baril, Ontario on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care), or the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.
