SUE STROME

Suzanne Strome, the strongest most beautiful soul, was brought into this world February 1, 1952, and returned home peacefully and suddenly on December 26, 2022, with family at her side.

She was born to Russ & Vicki Maude, was the loving & faithful wife of Dave, devoted mother of Christopher (Cherryl), Heather (Jim) and Erin (EJ), and cherished Grandma of Charlie & Colton, Lindsay & Kaitlynn, Landon & Michelle. Faithful sister of Pat, Jen & the late Vicki. Special friend of Sheila, Jean, and Sheena. Fondly remembered by all her nieces, nephews, relatives, and former students.

Earth will surely be missing an angel as she always tried to make everyone feel loved and welcomed.

A tremendous thank you to the staff at the West Parry Sound Health Centre for their support and kindness; they are truly special individuals.

At Sue’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in early spring.

“The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story love is hello and goodbye, until we meet again” -Jimi Hendrix

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated.

Condolences

Dear family of Sue. I was fortunate to spend time with Sue at our book club. She will be missed. The last club she missed, but sent her pumpkin cheesecake. That was lovely. I met Sue's husband when they both came to my house to get a camper couch. She sure loved camping! I remember too that she loved teaching her grandchildren. My prayers are with you. All the best. My beautiful aunt Sue, you were the kindest most loving person I know. You would give your last dollar to a stranger and take in anyone without a place to call home. You will be missed dearly by so many people that you touched. Rest in peace, spread your wings, and fly my sweet angel.

What can I say? She was absolutely one of my favorite people in this world. I loved her sense of humor and just the simple fact that she loved me for me. Her presence in my life will certainly be missed but I'm glad that she is now at peace. Hugs to everyone and I plan on attending the celebration of life when it occurs.
Love Julie, Stephen & Family.

It is with a heavy heart I write this. It saddens me greatly to know so many have lost this angel on earth. She was an inspiration to me as I am travelling down the road on my cancer journey. Always upbeat and supportive giving me hope only to learn of her sudden diagnosis was a shock. Heaven needed this angel fast so now she may rest in peace but surely missed greatly. It leaves an empty spot in this world for many who loved her. My sincere condolences and love are shared with you all .

Our deepest condolences to the entire Maude family. I was stunned when I heard the news. Suzanne was a great great person... a true caring heart for her family, friends and her students. Ken and I met with her an Chris a couple springs ago, outside the PS hospital.. she wanted some of our syrup - and made pancakes that night for supper, and a t-shirt for her grandson, as he loved fishing. We had a great chat with both, probably spent an hour or more chatting, it was wonderful. It seemed like time had not past since we were with her at Vicki and Gord's.
Vicki was always so worried about Sue, well now they are together again.
Big hugs to all the family.

Aunt Sue will be forever in my heart. She has been a wonderful person who had the ability to love everyone she knew. She made you feel loved and included always. I have been blessed with being part of her family since the age of 10. I will miss that another beautiful soul has left this earth too soon.

My sincere condolences to everyone. I wish I could have been there to help support you all during this time. Please know my heart has been with you all during this trying time. Love you all

Sue was amazing at her job at Beatty. She supported lots of kids in their journey of learning and life in general. Catching up with her at our local little beach was always a treat. Watching my kids and her grandkids growing up each summers for years. It was good to talk to her, she found humor and wise feedback to various situations. I will miss her. My condolences to the family.

Oh my, the dear Mrs. Strome, what a wonderful woman you were. Your loving, eager greeting to the students each morning, hugs when it should have been a swift kick, patience of Job, educator, mother & so much more...this world was a better place because of you. You were dedicated and vigilant in trying everything with my Doris, she was headstrong, but so were you. On days when I would have thrown in the towel, you marched on like a valiant soldier. I will never forget your perseverance, for all you did...tried & true or try again. Now, Heaven has gained a true angel, rest easy Suzanne
