SANDFORD JAMES HEIDMAN

It is with broken hearts that the family of Sandford James (Sandy) Heidman announce his passing, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 around noon, at his home, at the age of 75.

Sandy will always be the beloved husband and best friend of Sharon; loving father of Trevor and Stacey; cherished Papa to Sydney, Isabella, Ty and Leila and equally to Clare and James. He loved them all so much.

Dear brother to Al, Clare and Terry and Rita; and to predeceased brothers and sisters Don, June, Lee, Ed, Tommy, Bobby and Ruthie.

Predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Marie of Parry Sound, ON and by his in-law parents Cliff and Jean Young of Mactier, ON.

Smith Funeral Home has taken care of his cremation. Sandy's ashes will be spread at a later date this spring/summer at a place that was dear to his heart, followed by lunch and laughter at the MacTier Legion, as we look at memories of his being. Fastball is what brought Sandy to MacTier and to Sharon and home he shall go.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations in his memory to whom you choose.

My condoloences to Sharon and their children. I know from conversations with Sharon how important Sandy was to her and their children, other family and their many friends who I am sure will miss him always. He had a fulfilling life lived on his own terms and am sure he is watching you from above. Sent with love.

It is with great sadness to hear of Sandy's passing. A great man and always involved in sports. Sandy coached me in industrial hockey and I always loved his fierce competitive nature and his support to me as a player. Always enjoyed our after game beers in the room.
Our condolences to Sharon, Trevor, Stacey and family.
