On behalf of the Carrot River United Church (which now includes the former Arborfield United Church congregation), I would like to extend our condolences to Margie and the Boyd family. We all have very fond memories of Bill's time in the Carrot River Arborfield Pastoral Charge, as well as more than a few humorous moments. Bill was a great leader, guiding us all through the good times and the bad.

Helen Brook's sister Doris and family send our condolences to Rev. Boyd's family. A lovely man and terrific supporter of Seguin Pioneer United Church. A special connection to our family as it was built generations ago on what was Brook family land.

Our Aunt Lois and Uncle Alvin lived across the road from the church for many years so we have fond memories of our family visits - we met Rev Boyd a few times. Often Aunt Lois would be getting something ready for a church related event. Aunt Helen was sad to hear of his passing but he will always be lovingly remembered by Helen and her family.

Allan Shaw and I are both retired, but remember Bill “writ large” in generosity of spirit, in humour, and countless other ways. We remember bringing Jim Strathdee over to P.A. to hold a wonderful worship and song fest there. Bill was the perfect host and made sure everything ran smoothly. As a young minister I looked up to him for his leadership and competence. Allan and I wanted to send you the family the message that colleagues you may not know are holding you his loved ones in our hearts and prayers today and in coming days. Bill's ministry and personality has touched many of us. He was a good man, and a good ministerial colleague.

Dear Margie, Megan and Emily, and family: We were all so enriched by knowing Bill. He was a preacher's preacher and the Holy Spirit always quietly emanated from him. Who can doubt a benevolent God when God calls someone like Bill to proclaim His existence? You are all in my prayers. In faith and love, Dianne
