Patricia Pender (Makins) passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, with her family by her side, on Monday, May 12th, 2014. Age 81 years.

Loving and devoted mother of Terry Makins (Pauline); Danny Makins (Betty); and Julie Makins-Boucher (Eugene).

Proud grandmother of Laurie, Jenny, Terry-Pat and Jessie Makins, and Derek Richards; Tania, Krissy and Danny Makins; Jayson and Mike Burnside. Great grandmother of 13.

Dear daughter of the late Ralph and Ann Pender (OíHalloran); Loving sister of Marie Cooke (Jack); Rita McWhirter (Dale); and the late Jim Pender, Joan Marshall and Dianne Austin.

She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Patricia devoted her life to her family, home and career. She graduated from nursing in 1962 and spent her Nursing Career at the Parry Sound District General Hospital. After retiring in 1996 she spent her time with family, her home and friends. She especially enjoyed time spent with the retired nurses she used to work with during their monthly lunches.

Memorial Visitation will take place at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Friday, May 16th, 2014 from 11:00 - 1:00 P.M. Interment Sylvan Acres cemetery. Reception to follow at the Logan Funeral Home.
