MICHAEL SMART

Michael McEvoy Smart passed away peacefully, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022. Age 85 years.

Beloved husband of Roberta Smart for 49 years. Loving father of Robert Michael (Novar), and Elizabeth Constance and her husband Ryan Peyton (Edmonton). Sadly missed by his friend Ted Rason.

Cremation to take place.

As was Michael’s wish, there will be no formal service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I will remember Mike as being a teacher who was interested in each one of his students and who enjoyed teaching them.

I remember Mike as a grade school teacher who loved it when kids understood his lessons and asked for more. As the years grew on, his teachings helped in everyday living. We caught up again while at Serenity Seniors Residence. Friendly happy chit chats and hot drinks with smartie snacks. His infectious laugh, eye twinkle and movie night brought happiness to all who were nearby. See you on the other side, my friend, I will bring more smarties...
