Condolences

Deepest condolences to the Lloyd family. I have fond memories of Mrs. Lloyd as a kid growing up on Addie Street. My mother would often talk about fun she had at get togethers in Marg’s home in Carling. Again, sympathies to Rob, Garrett, (I met at a tree stand in Dillon while hunting a few years back) and Sharon.

To Robert, Garrett and Sharon and their families:
I don’t even know how to start when remembering the beautiful, strong, caring woman, Marg Lloyd. From the Friday night gatherings and the annual birthday party for Murray, she opened a door to the community and to the history of The Bay for us. What a life she had! From helping her dad fishing as a young woman to raising three children on her own, she had to be strong. As time went on we got to know the softer, caring side of Marg. She shaved her head to keep Barb company. She welcomed my friend, Sue, and recognized that she was a person who needed support. She lead an exercise group at the community centre where she was probably older than most people in the class. So many memories! May those memories hold all of you in good stead while you wrestle with her loss. We’re thinking of you.

Robert, Garrett, Sharon and their Family,
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Marg. She was a warm and caring individual who always had a funny story for us. It has been a difficult few years for the family and we hoped that perhaps a corner had been turned as Marg was telling us of all the activities she was involved in only last spring. She was a strong soul who will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt sympathy. Kelly & Peter

To Robert, Garrett, Sharon and their Families: I can't imagine the Bay without Marg. Her July parties and many visits I had just listening to her adventures. She was a very special person and I think they broke the mold once she was born. We will miss her dearly. Carol & Grant

Dear Family, I wanted to write this sooner but it was a hard one. I met Marg when she came out to Haggart Bay to join her dad Lid, as a fisherman. The family had had some most difficult times and Marg was figuring out moving forward after the death of Butch and her sister. Both of them, along with her brother Jack became very special neighbours and we spent some special times with them. Though Marg was trying to be the Haggart strong for family it was obvious she had the big generous Haggart heart as well. We shared lots of laughs, meals and drinks in Haggart Bay. She will be remembered and missed by so many but of course, most of all by her family that she was so proud of. Condolences and hugs to you all.
