Lawrence Rosewell passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Sunday, May 5th, 2024. Age 92 years.

Beloved husband of Gwendolyne for 70 years. Loving father of Ken and his wife Kathy; Randy and his wife Deb; and the late Dan. Proud ‘Gramps’ of Jason (Jenn), Ryan (Jessica), Jen, Sarah, Aaron (Adrienne), Ashley (Jason), Rob, and Shelby (Jo). Cherished ‘Great Gramps’ of 16. Dear brother of Enid (Murray), and Rod (Ann). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Resting at Bayside Family Church, 4 Parry Sound Drive, Parry Sound, where friends will be received on Monday, May 13th from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at Bayside Family Church on Monday, May 13th at 1:00 P.M. Reception to follow.

Interment Sylvan Acres Cemetery.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Lawrence will always be remembered by me as a soft spoken helpful man who could fix anything. Truly a man that anyone who called him a friend admired. He is now with Jesus and the many others that have gone to heaven before him. I pray for Jesus’s comfort on the Rosewell family at this time. God Bless

The day I took the picture that is with Lawrence’s Obituary, was so typical of the the many adventures I was lucky enough to share with him. There were safari’s for squirrels, and early morning crow hunts or just tall stories on the banks of Scott’s Creek. Then visits to ask how should we fix this. We send our love and condolences to all. He will always be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the entire amazing Rosewell Family. You are all such good people and it is easy to see why. Lawrence and Gwen are such terrific role models. He is in a better place and has run a very good race. Be thankful for having been blessed with such a good husband, father and grandpa. I always enjoyed chatting with him, whether it was at church or in Canadian Tire.

Our heartfelt condolences to Ken and family at this sad time. We will never forget the years he spent as a mechanic at L&H motors . Always was so pleasant to deal with.

My deepest sympathies to all the Rosewell family. Lawrence always held a special place in my heart and the lives of the kids and dogs. So much like a grandfather them. Motorcycle rides in the back bush, a candy and special interest or help in all their projects. A best friend to Sackett and Quigley, they spent almost as much time with him or on his doorstep as at home! He was such a supportive and helpful neighbor ♥️, even to the point of being my fire fighting partner. Rest peaceful Lawrence, your knowledge, kindness and generosity is a legacy you leave in many hearts.

We have lost a great man. We should all try to be like him, a kind man with a big heart. I will always remember him and his beautiful wife and family He will always be in my thoughts.

Sorry for your loss. Lawrence will be remembered fondly. He was a great man who was always there to help with all sorts of mechanical issues. He leaves behind an honored legacy of faithfulness to everyone who knew him.

Our family sends there sincere condolences to Gwen, Ken, Randy and family. Lawrence was such a great person to anyone, when l snowmobile when they had L&H racing team l would small issues with my machines he would extend himself to help out. My dad and mom had great respect for Lawrence and Gwen they were there for are family on many occasions during periods when the McConnell family grew. Sorry to hear of this loss for your family. What a kind and gentle soul he was in the church. He brings fond memories of my time growing up in the church family of my youth💝.
