KATHLEEN (KATHY) THORNTON
Kathy Thornton went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. She passed away peacefully with family by her side at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of the late Denny Thornton. Loving mother of Jamie and his wife Rhonda, and Greg. Loving Grandma of Jesse and Cassidy (Brandon). Loving great-grandma of Ryder. Dearly loved by her family and friends.
Kathy's family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful staff in Acute Care, ICU and Palliative Care at the West Parry Sound Health Centre and the staff at The Friends for their extraordinary care and compassion.
As was Kathy's wish, cremation has taken place.
A memorial will take place at St. James United Church (24 Mary St, Parry Sound) on Monday, February 6, 2023. Visiting at 10:00 a.m. and Service at the church at 12:00 noon. Reception to follow at the Logan Funeral Home (705-746-5855), 81 James Street, Parry Sound.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Friends, Belvedere Heights (Community Support Services) or St. James United Church, Parry Sound would be appreciated.
