John (Jack) Alvin Macfie (WWII RCAF Veteran, R.C.L. Branch # 394 Dunchurch, Historian, Author) passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, Palliative Care on Friday, October 26, 2018. Age 93 years.

Beloved husband of Joan (Ramsay) for 64 years. Loving father of Robert (Allicen), Elizabeth (Paul), and Ian (Ninfa). Dear Grandad of Stuart, Ramsay, Emilie, John, and Margaret. Dear brother of James, Frank, Catherine, and the late Donald, Jean, and Edwin. Fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Martha Macfie, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home on Monday, October 29, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

A memorial service will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 30, at 12:00 noon. Reception to follow.

Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
