Joseph Anthony Shalla passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on July 10, 2015. Age 87 years.

Beloved husband of Claire Marie (Lajoie) Shalla for 58 years.

Loving father of Mona and her husband Trent Emigh; Joanne Shalla; Lorraine Shalla-Hill; Lynn and her husband Craig Smith.

Dear grandfather of Scott Shalla-Hill (Caite), Courtney Shalla-Hill, Joel Smith, Matthew Smith, and Laura Smith.

Great grandfather of Rowan Shalla-Hill.

Joe is predeceased by his sisters and brothers Agnes, Beatrice, Evelyn, Maggie, Ambrose, Felix, Frank, Isadore, John, and Max.

Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Joe was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He was a man that was defined by his family. If you couldn’t find him in his favorite fishing spots, you could always find him in his one of a kind garden. Happy fishing Grandpa – there are no limits in heaven!!
He was dedicated and proud of his thirty-nine (39) year career with
The Ministry of Natural Resources. Thank you to the Palliative Care Nurse’s for their compassion; you are truly ‘Angels on Earth.’

Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home on Sunday July 12, 2015, between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Monday July 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.

Cremation to follow.
