Jeannie Milne passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Friday, August 6th, 2021. Age 89 years.

Beloved wife of Andrew (Andy) for 69 years. Loving mother of Patricia and her husband Jean Marc Arsenault; Christina and her husband Robert Hill; and Andrea and her husband Edmund Wieczorek. Cherished Nana of Ryan, Melanie, Melissa, Robyn, Joshua, Andrew, Daniel, and Alana. Dear “Nana Great” of Kelton, Travis, Harper, Colby, and Brody. Dear sister of Catherine, Ann, Sheila, Mary, and the late Helen (Bunty), William, Marjorie, Peter and Joyce. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A Service in Celebration of Jean's Life will be held on Monday, August 30th at 2:00 P.M at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Jean's death. We had a long chat on her birthday just a few days ago. Her kind deeds will be missed by many in our town. My deepest sympathies to Andy and his family. Heaven has just received another angel.

We are so sorry to hear that Jean has passed, such a terrible loss for your family and the community. The kindest, most generous neighbour, always looking out for those around her. Our hearts are broken. Jean gave everyone a master class in kindness, generosity and how to be a good neighbour. She has been part of our lives forever and will remain so in our thoughts and deeds. William Street has lost an icon.

So sorry hear about Jeannie. I have many fond memories of her. Her shortbread cookies, helping with junior choir at church, visit with Andy and Jeannie on a Sunday evening after church with mom and dad. Condolences to Andy and the Family.

I grew up on William Street as a youngster and I practiced law on William Street for 27 years. During all those years, Jean Milne was loved, admired and appreciated by many like me who knew her for the fine example she provided to others during the living of her life. I believe I may have watched TV for the first time in Jean and Andy's home. My condolences to her husband Andy and all her family.
