Helen Dorbyk
1927 - 2023

Helen Dorbyk (Osborne) passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2023, at Belvedere Heights, Parry Sound, where she received the most wonderful care for four years. Age 95 years.

Beloved wife of the late Mitchell for 69 years; he passed in 2015 at the age of 98. Loving mother of Gary, Susan (Ron Lillie), and predeceased by James in 2011. Remembered by her grandchildren: Michael Dorbyk (Sarah), Jennifer Alpaugh (Andy), Leah Dorbyk (James), Anna Dorbyk (Richard Valsamis), Kristy Chown (Dave), Mitchell Dorbyk, and Alex Dorbyk. Also remembered by her ten beautiful great grandchildren. Helen leaves behind her siblings: Allan (Annie) Maggie, and Gloria (Don). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged, or the charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom, Sue. You were a loyal daughter. I am sure you have lots of good memories.

I saw what a devoted daughter and son-in-law you were with your mom when she was at the Gardens. Her face would light up when you or your daughters would be in to visit. Hold all the great memories close.

Dear Sue, your legacy will include the loving support and care given to your parents in their senior years, and especially the daily Long-Term Care visits to your Mom in the last few - playing cards and reminding her of who she was and how she was loved.

I was deeply saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. I have such fond memories of her at Ril Lake --- her warm smile and hospitality always meant an open door at the Dorbyk cottage! She will be missed, but never forgotten.
