HARVEY WEST

Harvey Albert West passed away peacefully, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022, in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of Linda Forth for 50 years. Loving father of Harvey “Jimmy” West (Lori West); Crystal Forth (Luc Poisson); Shannon Pritchard (Kevin Pritchard); Lacey Forth (Paul Turner); Ashton Forth (Owen Nicholson); Velda West; and the late Howard West. Cherished Grandpa of Kaitlyn, Paige, Darren, James, Blayze, and Mikayla. Dear brother of the late Gordon, Ernest, Roy (wife Shirley), and Rita Fraser (husband Gerald). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Harvey operated a logging company and a bus company for many years. He was known for being a hard worker. Harvey was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, but also had a soft spot for his cats. He enjoyed going for drives in the country. Harvey was always smiling. He was known for being a jokester – and especially loved to tease his grandkids!

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Harvey’s Life will take place at the Rosseau Hall on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society Muskoka, or the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear that Harvey has died. For me Harvey was a quiet person but as mentioned a hard worker and a man who understood the bush and life in the bush. He had a respect in my mind of the Forest. I have admired Harvey all my life and feel he was a cornerstone in our area. He was supported so much by Linda in work and personal life. All the best going forward to you Linda and the Family.
