Gary “Bird” Tabobondung passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022. Age 66 years.

Beloved husband of Maggie Tabobondung. Loving father of Ryan and his wife Kelly, Teena (Chris), and Rose. Cherished Papa of Payton, Dylan, Miya, Arden, Morgan, Melonie, Clay, Jaxsen, and Jacob. Missed by his great grandchildren. Loving son of the late Anderson and Eva Tabobondung. Dear brother of Donna and Ed, Carl, Alvin, Vera and Dan, Edith (the late Craig), Norman and Brenda, and the late Jack, Yvonne, Randy, and Norine. Forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and fellow firefighters.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will take place at the Wasauksing Gathering Centre on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sudbury Cancer Centre, Hospice West Parry Sound or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Bird was one of the first people I met on Parry Island, as he was also part of the Frontiers Foundation (Operation Beaver) that brought me to the Island. As Bird lived across the street from Gran's, I remember many nights of 6 o'clock movies at her place & playing cards. Also recall all the baseball & hockey games! Most memorable was all the laughter and practical jokes!🥰
