DR. ED FISHER
Dr. Edward Busby McLean Fisher passed away peacefully August 13th 2013 at the West Parry Sound Health Centre surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Christmas Day 1927 he was a man of eclectic interests and attributes whose first priority was always his family.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years Janet (nee Taylor) his children John (Glenor Pitters-Fisher) Taylor (Karen Evans Fisher) Adelyn Robertson and Matt (Maria Loukidelis).
He was a devoted Poppa to grandchildren Kate Jenny Althea Emma Adam Lucas and Jackson and dear brother to Marie Gray and Joan Davison.
A natural athlete Ed played varsity football and wrestled at University of Toronto. A warmly remembered teacher at Parry Sound High School his love of learning led him to two Bachelor and one Masterís degree from U of T and a doctorate from University of Edinburgh. Concern for the education system and the environment led him to run for office twice provincially and twice federally. Generous and compassionate he will be greatly missed by friends family and acquaintances alike.
The family extends its gratitude to the staff of WPSHC and Belvedere Heights for their excellent care especially the Personal Care Workers.
Visitation to be held on Friday August 23rd from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Logan Funeral Home. Funeral Service on Saturday August 24th at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Anglican Church 6 Church Street.
