DON TUDHOPE

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Henry Tudhope announce his passing on Sunday, June 4th, 2023, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre (palliative care unit), at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of Marie (Charlotte Cribbie) Tudhope for 67 years. Loving father of Dee Ann and her husband Glenn Doherty; Carrie and her husband Bob Ahrens. Loving “Grandpa T” of Ryan Doherty (Tara), Lindsey Dubuc (Garry), and loving Grandpa to Adam and Samantha Ahrens. Great “Grandpa T” to Scott and Nash Doherty, Blake and Harper Dubuc. Dear brother of the late Ethel, Beatrice, Audrey, Florence, Margaret, Gordon, Lorne, Gerald, Horace. Forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Don loved sailing on the Great Lakes, riding motorcycles and a good road trip. He was a Kinsmen and a curler. He enjoyed wood crafts, inventing and listening to music. He was always there to support his family and friends when they needed him.

Don’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Dan Honsinger and nurses for their exceptional care and kindness while Don was in both acute care and the palliative care unit. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Dr. Higgins and Mary from Medical Associates.

As was Don’s wish, cremation has taken place.

A Memorial visitation will take place at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 between the hours of 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated.

Condolences

Our sincere condolences to Marie and family. Don played hockey with Ivan and we always enjoyed associating with a great Harbor boy and school with Don's younger brother-in-law, Don Cribbie.

Auntie Marie, Dee Ann and Carrie,
I’m thinking of you and your families today… and know only too well the feeling of loss. I can’t see Uncle Don and not be reminded of my own dad and the happy memories we’ve all shared together.
Virtual hugs to you…. Real hugs on Saturday.
Love you, Wendy Coniam xo

Sincere condolences to Marie, and the Doherty, Dubuc & Ahrens families. Don & Marie have been mainstays in our neighbourhood these many years. I and my siblings went to Victory with Dee Ann & Carrie as did our children with Ryan & Lindsey. We're thinking fondly of you all at this time.

Every once in a while we meet someone knowing there was a reason.
I think I first met Don well probably four decades ago +/-.
I worked at the local Hardware Store and not knowing any connection by name only later found someone who not only believed in family but his community as well.
He was a person who believed in doing what was right for Family Friends and those he encountered.
Don may you rest in peace may our Lord guide your family through your passing
