BUD ARISS

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bud Frederick Ariss at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Monday, April 1st, 2024. Age 82 years.

Beloved husband of Kathy Ariss, and the late Judie Ariss (née Martin). Bud will be forever missed by his sons Tom (the late Nellie); and Kevin (Catherine); and by his step-children Laura-Lee (Ian); Randy (Kara); and Alex (Andrea). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Peter, Jacob, and Noah, and by his step-grandchildren, Miranda and Max. Fondly remembered by his sister Janet and her husband David Brown, and by his many beloved nieces, and nephews. Loving son of the late Thomas and Ida Ariss, and brother of the late Stanley, Bill, Doreen, and David.

Bud was a creative soul, expressing himself through his beautiful art, wood carvings, and his soothing baritone voice.

The family would like to extend a sincere “thank you” to the Doctors and Nursing staff at the West Parry Sound Health Centre.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation may be made in Bud’s memory.

We have the fondest memories of our times spent over the years with Uncle Bud in Parry Sound. From fishing, laughing, story telling and his amazing art work. To some he may have been a man of few words. But to us he was a man of many words. Our entire family always enjoyed our time spent together. Uncle Bud you will be deeply missed by all of us. Until we meet again. May you rest in peace. Love from Lori, Gary, Colin and Kaitlynd.❤️

I worked for Bud & Judy at Buds fish & chips for a few years as a teen. Bud was an inspiration & an amazing teacher. I’ll always remember his life lessons & I’m forever grateful he was a part of my life in a time when I needed a guide. Forever missed.
