BOB O’CALLAGHAN

Robert (Bob) Patrick Emmit O’Callaghan passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights, on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014. Age 85 years.

Beloved husband of the late Betty O’Callaghan.

Loving father of Cec and her husband Jeff Barks, and Rachelle and her husband Keith Little.

Cherished Gramps of Josh and his wife Holly; Joey and his partner Helen; Jacki; Jennifer and her husband Steven; Melissa and her husband Mark. Great Grandfather of Ryan, James, Morgan and Macie.

Dear brother of the late Larry, Bill, Mike, Len, Danny, Marie, and Cecelia.

Bob will be greatly missed by his sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and special friend Julie Greene.

Bob worked on the CPR for 38 years, starting as a brake man on freight and eventually a conductor on the VIA train. With great pride, he loved his work there and has shared many interesting stories of the passengers that he travelled with. He was a true Irishman and lover of the blarney stone. He often boasted about his castle in Ireland and made up his own lyrics to celtic song.

Friends are invited to the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 between the hours of 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will follow in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 29th at 2:00 P.M. Reception to follow. In his honour, please wear a wee bit o’ green.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to ‘The Friends’ (supporting those with long term health care needs), Hospice West Parry Sound, Belvedere Heights or the West Parry Sound Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.
