BILL NORRIE

It is with heavy hearts that the family of William (Bill) John Norrie announce his passing at 90 years of age.

Bill was born in Parry Sound on October 9th, 1932, to the late Vernon and Gertrude Norrie. Beloved husband of Shirley Eileen Norrie (Stephenson) for 70 years. Loving father of Kim (Dail), and Cindy (Donald). Lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren: Daniel (Janice), David (Gabby), Courtney (Ken), Krista, and Bryan (Reegan). Bill will also be remembered by his seven great grandchildren: MacKenzie, Preston, Eleanor, Scarlett, Madison, Rowan, and Hendrix. Dear brother of Ann Dube (Bill), Jean Adams, and the late Ivan, Leon, and Dorothy. Bill will be fondly remembered by his many friends and neighbours.

As a young teen, Bill started working in Brule Lake, ON, at the sawmill. Later as a teen, he joined the CNR where he worked for 37 years. Woodworking was Bill’s true passion, and it showed through his beautiful creations that are enjoyed by many people.

As Was Bill’s wish, cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

To Shirley and all the Norrie Family, Bill was one of the sweetest people a person could ever want to meet! He was always so thoughtful of others, and always attentive of his beloved Shirley, whom my heart breaks for. I do not know his children, grandchildren or Grt grandchildren but I know that they are blessed to have him as the Paternal being in their lives. Bill was always ready to do some wood working to use to raise funds for the Seniors Club or donations to our hospital or others in need. He was thoughtful and kind. I never saw him be unkind to anyone. Rest easy Bill, Our Savour was a Carpenter maybe you can share some methods of your woodworking with him.

To the Norrie Family
It is with heavy hearts that Bill has passed. Just seen him the other day and had a great talk. He was looking forward to us building our new home just up the road. I guess I was too long in getting started. I am sure he will be keeping an eye on us when we start the build.
