John Mervin Geroux (former chief of Shawanaga First Nation) passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on Monday, March 20th, 2017. Age 64 years.

Loving father of Jonathan, and Candace (David Pawis). Husband of Maryanne Geroux (nee: Misquadis). Cherished Papa of Shane, Brianna, Destiny, and Carissa. Dear brother of Michael, Barbara, Anthony, Margaret, and the late Isadore. Predeceased by his parents Hazel and Stanley Geroux. Fondly remembered by his furry companion Lola, and by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of John’s Life will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (746-5855) on Saturday, April 1st, at 2:00 P.M. Friends and family will be received prior to the Service from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.

Reception to follow at 3:30 P.M. at the Shawanaga Recreation Centre.
