Albert Wallace Reekie (former Reeve of Carling Township), passed away on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. Age 86 years.

Fondly remembered by Loretta Reekie. Beloved companion of Nicky Anderson.

Dear father of Stephan and his wife Jos; Melanie and her husband Forest Curry; Carole and her husband Dave Reynolds; and Pamela Reekie. Loving Poppa of Melissa (Barry); Tyler (Peggy); Coady (Lindsay); Amanda (Mike); Clinton (Jen); and Dane (Megan). Lovingly remembered by his great grandchildren. Loving son of the late Wallace and Gladys Reekie. Stepson of the late Nick Konoval. Dear brother of the late Jack (survived by wife Anita), Florence (husband Norm Sills), and Orla Reekie. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Monday, November 20th, from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, November 21st, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. A Celebration of Bert’s Life will take place at the Logan Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21st, at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow.
