Winnifred Maud Russell passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights, on Thursday, May 12th, 2022, just four days after celebrating her 104th birthday and Mother’s Day.

Beloved wife of the late Bob Russell. Loving mother of Vera Vincent (husband the late Doug), and the late Ken Lehman, Reg Lehman (wife Sandra Aletha of B.C.), and Don Lehman (Carol). Cherished Grandmother of Doug Vincent (Mary), Bonnie Spinney (Kim), Brenda Desroches (Kevin), Debra McLean, Alan Lehman, Howard Lehman, Steve Lehman (Sarah), and Stuart Lehman. Lovingly remembered by her many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Alan Tyler. Fondly remembered by her nephew David and his wife Janice.

Born in 1918, she made it to her 104th Birthday. She grew up in Lakeview Ontario, now a part of Mississauga and she loved the city. Her life was full of many ups and downs but her strength and the love of her family kept her going. Life was a struggle but then.... the "Love of her life" came a little later and this was the beginning of a better life. Bob and Winnie loved to travel and take part in all interesting aspects of their trips looking at all the places of history and interests. After he passed Winnie continued to travel to the sunny south and got to be known as Nana, as we have always called her. Family was the centre of her life and many gatherings were well attended. We will always cherish those days. She loved people and would always strike up a conversation even if it was in the grocery store or bank line up. Her house was always "happy" when it was full of people and she would welcome you with a cup of tea. We will keep her in our hearts and especially in our thoughts in remembrance of a Grand Lady....Our Nana

As was Winnifred’s wish, cremation has taken place. Private family interment to take place at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto at a later date.
