Wilma Reuben ‘Willie’ 1942 - 2021 passed away peacefully in her home with her best friend by her side, on Sunday, January 24th, 2021.

She was and will always be the cherished best friend of Penny Ferris. She was and will always be the loving mother of Michael Reuben (Jenny). She was and will always be the beloved sister of Frieda Tuck, Rick Larocque, the late Harriette McDonald, Mike, and Hank Larocque. Amazing aunt of many nieces and nephews. Much loved and sadly missed by her many friends and extended families. Wilma will always be remembered for her heartfelt gospel singing and her care for both her clients and her co-workers in homecare.

A big 'pot bangin' shout out to Wilma's front-line caregivers and to Dr. Warwick for their over-the-top loving care.

If you had Wilma in your life for even a minute, you were blessed.

Her Celebration of Life will definitely happen at a later date.

Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parry Sound Salvation Army or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Penny you were such a wonderful friend to an amazing woman. Wilma was loved by all and so lucky to have you by her side. Wilma was the most unselfish loving person I have ever met. She welcomed all and was so kind in both her heart and actions. She will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Wilma and my grandma Eleanor Larocque were so very close. Wilma sang at my wedding in 1994. She will always be loved and dearly missed. Rest in Paradise Wilma and send your voice out in the wind so you will always be heard. 😘

I remember Wilma and Mike from my youth at Camp Newport and many visits to Parry Sound. I will always remember her gentle soul and her amazing singing voice. My condolences to all.

Wilma was the first person at the Salvation Army that made me feel welcome in Parry Sound. I met her when I went to check out Tea Time. She greeted me and gave me the biggest most loving hug. Wilma was a woman in whom there was no guile. She transformed the difficulties of her life into service and compassion for others. She lived triumphantly and sacrificially. It was my privilege, with Rob and Jim Ferris to sing with Wilma during our three years in Party Sound. With Wilma, every song was a gift of herself and praise to God and not a mere performance. Those of us who have journeyed with her for no matter how brief a time, have been enriched and blessed. Wilma invites us all to carry on her work of loving service to others. Dear friend, we would be ashamed to do anything else.

I met Wilma when I was 13 at Salvation Army just after my grandmother passed. It was a brief period of time but I remember feeling better after our chats.

So very sorry to see the notice of Wilma’s passing. She lived with our family for a while. I have looked for her many times. Today I thought I would try again. What a shock. If any of her siblings would contact me I would appreciate it. My dad was her cousin, George married to my mom, Audrey. God bless you all for loving her so much.

I met Wilma and Penny in Willma's last few month. Their bond of friendship was palpable and anyone could see what a blessing they have been to one another. Penny shared Wilma's beautiful music with me and I know that she's got her sweet voice back! Thank you, Penny, for sharing her with me! I'm so thankful to have met you both.

Words cannot express our deep love for you Wilma, and Penny. There are many who simply walk in and out of your life, but Wilma left her footprints on our hearts.
