I got to know Wayne through Gordie, about 15 years ago.He was a very interesting man knew a lot about everything. He seemed to have a name for everyone. My name was chicken man my wife was Mrs chicken and our children were the nuggets. You see we lived on a chicken farm and loved to visit. We also had a similar interest and that was making maple syrup. He had made it at boundary lake for the Eatons.Wayne gave me a lot of information on how to improve my skill.Wayne also was a great story teller and would go into great detail.l wonder if any of you have heard about the left handed bear story?l last saw Wayne at the end of August. He looked great and we talked about old times. Our deepest condolences to Wayne’s family and friends on this day. Wayne was such a great guy! He spent a lot of time with our Dad Rudy Anderson. We loved when he’d visit us at the cottage. The kids loved hearing his stories about animals and his common sense wisdom . He was a real character, one of a kind.!

Wayne was my Dad's best buddy / side kick-down down the bay and at our cottage. Mom always called him the "Smart Son!" When he came over in the evenings there was always a dinner plate, a coke and a crib game to be had. After an enjoyable evening, where he showed us how to win at crib, it was time to shut it down so I'd walk him down to the dock with a light , untie his boat and wish him "Good Night Wayne". Off he'd go into the dark, but he knew his way. "Good Night Wayne, sleep well my friend! Say hi to Mom & Dad".

Wayne was such a character. He spent many hours with Dad, Rudy Anderson. We loved hearing Wayne’s stories and all his common sense wisdom. We always looked forward to him dropping in at the cottage. He loved playing cribbage. Our kids especially loved Wayne.

Wayne was a man that the Brownleys' knew and considered family. We all grew up knowing Wayne would show up every now and then but usually during hunting season the memories we all must have are fond and full of good thoughts. Rest now Wayne and enjoy seeing old friends because I'm sure they will be there to greet you !

Wish I could have visited you more while i was up in my beloved hometown. I bet my Mom (your step sister) Laura is glad to see you as she always talked so much about you. It was nice to have stopped by and visited you in 2003 while you were out shovelling your driveway on Great North Road. I just wished I could have visited you more. I know we will some day when its my time. And I am glad that my mom named me after you in my middle name. May God Rest your soul always
Your Nephew
