VIOLET FISHER

After a brief illness, in her 97th year, Violet (née Christenson) passed gently, with her family by her side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Lorne. Dear mother of Clarence and his wife Linda. Much loved ‘Nan’ of Travis Fisher. Survived by her sister Verna Burden (husband the late Maurice); Pre-deceased by her brother Walter Christenson. Violet will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family extends a sincere “Thank-you” to the staff at Belvedere Heights and the West Parry Sound Health Centre for their excellent care of Mom.

With Covid concerns in mind, a simple Graveside Service will take place at Carling Cemetery on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre, (Palliative Care), would be appreciated.

Condolences

We knew Violet & the Fisher family all our lives and had some great times with them.
We all must go sometime, but it is never nice.

Vi and Lorne were very much the part of our family of Littles at the farm when we would get together to play music and I got to stay with them for 2 seasons when I was in High school. Vi was so good to me. I'll always remember them with love.

I worked with Vi in the OR for 10 years! She was a hard and very dedicated worker. We had a lot of fun…back in those days. She was truly dedicated to Travis and spoke of him often and with great pride. Vi deserved the best, she was a wonderful and kind person

I so remember her being there to care for me with Dr. Woodhouse to deliver my oldest daughter Tiffany. Very fond memories growing up as a child going to their house and Uncle Lornie playing the banjo.
