Sheila Gloria Thornton passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020. Age 80 years.

Beloved wife of the late Murray Thornton. Loving mother of Lisa Thornton; and Henry Thornton and his loving spouse Vicki Stewart. Loving Grandma of Ashley Carriere, and the late Miranda Thornton, and dear great Grandma of Kylum, Maxon, Halen, and the late Rose. Dear sister of William ‘Bill’ (wife the late Bonnie); Allan and his wife Faye; Gerald and his wife Joan; and the late Shirley (husbands the late Murray and Alvin), and the late Garry (wife Barbara). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her card playing group.

Service in Celebration of Sheila’s Life will take place in the Logan Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 P.M. Visitation prior from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. Reception to follow.

Sheila was a great lady. A wonderful co- worker that cared deeply about her work, her friends and the children she served. She always had time for others and quietly did a lot of little things that others on staff took for granted but was not part of her job description. We were sorry to hear of her passing as we were out of town. Rest peacefully, Sheila, after a life well lived.
