Condolences

I remember Rick as someone very honest and straightforward. He didn't often share his emotions, but he let you know he cared. Rick and I weren't close, but I am very close with his son Andrew, who is someone I think of as a brother, and for this I am eternally grateful to Rick. I know many of us are grateful towards him. He will be missed and loved by many.

Uncle Rick will he missed and the cottage will not be the same without him. Although he was not one to show outward affection, he did it in discreet ways (getting fireworks, buying s'mores stuff, etc) He was always very welcoming to new members of the family and you could tell how much joy he had watching our kids at the beach. Our thoughts are with Andy, Gen and the whole family.

I remember Rick from many years ago. Met him through his late wife Louzanne. Was at their wedding up at the family's cottages many years ago. Due to covid-19, I started to clean out my basement and last week I was going through the photo albums. Found one from their wedding. Had a lot of good times when they were living off Hartzell Road. If Andrew would be interested in the photo album, please let me know. Mary Howard

We will so miss Rick. He loved being in Parry Sound and we were glad he was able to spend some retirement years there, He enjoyed the quiet tranquil from fall through to spring and looked forward every summer when family and friends were always coming and going, filling the house, Marilyn's cottage and even the bunkie. Rick always welcomed everyone & was generous. Remembering how he enjoyed boisterous conversations makes us smile & laugh & even shake our heads alittle. He really enjoyed watching all the little children of his nephews/nieces, cousins & friends down on the beach as they had so much fun there & evenings with family & friends in or around the gazebo. Our thoughts are with Andrew, Gen, his siblings and their families.
