RAYMOND ‘RAY’ WHELDON

Harold Raymond Bentley Wheldon passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, March 28th, 2020. Age 83 years.

Beloved husband of Kathleen for 56 years. Loving father of Michael (Kellie), Hazel (Tim), Rachael (late husband Doug), and Steven (Sheri). Proud grandfather of Ainsley, Cassie (Marcelo), David, Sarah (Brandin), Evan, and Quinn. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends here in Canada, and in the United Kingdom.

Cremation has taken place. A Service in Celebration of Ray’s Life will take place at a later date.

Born in North Yorkshire, England, Ray, Kathleen and family moved to Canada in 1981 and shortly after made Rosseau their home. As an active member of the Rosseau Community, Ray was involved in multiple community projects including the building of the Rosseau Nursing Station, the Rosseau Horticultural Society and the Rosseau Classic Cruise car show. While adopting Canada as his home Ray never missed an opportunity to give back to his local community.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Parry Sound Harvest Share, the Parry Sound Lions Club, or the West Parry Sound Health Centre.
