MIKE JOHNSON

Thomas Michael “Maxi” “Bobby” Johnson passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Sunday, April 11th, 2021. Age 79 years.

Beloved husband of Valerie Johnson for 57 years. Loving father of Debbie Johnson; Trudy Higgins (Sean); and Janice Groves (Rob). Cherished Papa of Michael, Taylor (“Bear”), Tyler, Jordynn, and Shane. Loving son of the late Hazel Geroux. Dear brother of Margaret (Gary “Bird”) Anthony, and the late Barbara, Isadore, and John. Brother-in-law of Lila, Sandra, Clarence (Elizabeth), and the late Cecil, Sidney “Mack”, Violet, George “Sock”, Robert, Lorne (Audrey), Betty-Ann, Garth, Donald and Reggie. Mike will be missed by his fur babies: Sonny, Izzy, Teddy, Missy, Sophie, and Kitty. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mike loved nature, music, animals, and his family. He was born in Parry Sound and later moved to Toronto. During his time away he was the successful business owner of Mike Johnson Tree Service and known as the “tree doctor”. He retired in the early 2000’s and returned home to Shawanaga First Nation where he spent the remainder of his life with his soulmate and wife of 57 years.

As was Mike’s wish, cremation has taken place.

Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held at the Logan Funeral Home.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Muskoka or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

My condolences to Val and family on the loss of Mike. He'll be dearly missed. I'll always think of him when I hear a seagull as he taught Shaq the seagull sound when he was little. He always asked Shaq: how does a seagull sound:
Much love from both of us. 💖💖
