Such sad news, during the current world events. We can't even go see the family to grieve with them or show our support. A short reflection of a great man. Ivan always welcomed you into their home with a big hug and jolly chuckle. He loved Nobel, Georgian Bay, his family, and that was all he needed to be happy. We'd encourage him to come visit, but he was content in Nobel with Carol and his family. After dinner while Carol would make tea, he'd get up and make "cowboy coffee" . I never did indulge, I was afraid I wouldn't sleep for a week. Those who loved strong coffee looked forward to his special brew. He was a great craftsman, building their home. He fought many health battles and won, even when things were stacked up against him. To the family may God's Peace surround you during this time. Ivan we'll miss you, until we meet again.
