Clara May (Watkinson) Badger passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Monday, April 11th, 2022. Age 81 years.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Thomas Badger. Dear mother of David (Darlene); Connie (Al); Billy-Joe; Les (Donna); and Carolyn (Rory). Loving Granny of Steve (Ange) and Danielle (Whitney); Carissa (Matt), and Zac (Amanda); Collin and Siobhan; Brandon, Jasmine (Kody), Brittney, and Caitlin; Emma (Garet), and Graciana. Dear Great Gramma of Tyler, Nate, and Sydney; Maisie, Graham, Theodore, and Zoey; Ava, and Sean. Dear daughter of the late David and Mary Watkinson. Dear sister of Ada, Gordon, Ronnie, Melvin, Kenneth, and the late Dalton, Harvie, Mildred, Marvin, Robert, Andrew and James. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Clara’s life will take place on Saturday, May 28th from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Foley Community Centre, 60 Rankin Lake Road, Seguin.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care Unit), where she received exceptional care from the “Angels on Earth”, would be appreciated.

My thoughts are with the family. Clara supported early on my interest in music - part of the Home & School Association audience for one of my first gigs - and later she invited me to fill in on organ at the United Church. Fond memories. She moved mountains.

I have known Clara since I was a small child and only recently reconnected with her on line. She was always a ray of sunshine.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Clara was an amazing lady who gave much to so many. I will remember her for all that she gave to her community and church and for being my "Brown Owl" at Brownies so many years ago. Sending much love, hugs & prayers.

Growing up in Foley in the '60's and '70's, most of us "kids" were impacted by the community spirit displayed by both Clara and Dan. In our house, there was always that special connection on March 4 as Clara and our Mom shared a birthday (10 years apart!). Our condolences to Clara's family.

I am sorry to hear of Clara's passing. I remember her days in Girl Guides as an avid camp leader and a wonderful Guider. She was instrumental in crafting so many lives and her lessons will live on with the hundreds of young women she instructed. Deepest sympathies in your time of loss.

So sorry to learn of Clara’s passing. She was a wonderful person and we are so glad to have known her these many years. Our friendship goes back to her leadership in Girl Guides in Foley - even running summer Guide camp on our property - and her leadership and involvement in the Otter Lake United Church and at Foley School.
