It is with profound sadness that the family of Anne Marie Silvestri wish to announce her passing. After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Anne passed on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, two days shy of her 66th birthday.

Anne leaves behind her devoted life partner Jim, her cherished daughter Stephanie (Ryan Dumont), and her beloved granddaughters Aubrey and Avery. Anne also leaves behind relatives and friends who she no doubt left a lasting impression on.

Anne was a free adventurous spirit who loved to laugh, garden, travel, spend time with her family and her two dogs Louie and Sammy. Anne was a hard working and giving soul who always wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be missed beyond measure.

We would like to thank all the amazing staff at the West Parry Sound Health Centre and all other support staff that cared for Anne during the past five months since her cancer diagnosis.

As was Anne’s wish, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will take place at the Logan Funeral Home (81 James Street, Parry Sound) on Thursday June 30th from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.

Anne received over 20 pints of blood over the last 5 months. Please consider donating blood 1-(888) 2 DONATE (myaccount.blood.ca).

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Anne’s behalf would be appreciated.

I first met Anne when the girls went to Trent University and became best friends. Her laugh was contagious and she could teach me all about plants and gardening, a free spirit. Although I only just met Anne and Jim while on holiday in Cuba (February 2020), she was an amazing free spirit who’s fun-loving and very caring. I loved her sense of humour. Also, she enjoyed singing and dancing to my partner’s guitar playing.
Heaven has sure got themselves an amazing person in Anne. My condolences to Jim and the whole family during this difficult time, you are in my prayers.

Stephanie and Ryan, sorry to hear about your loss, I was shocked to see this post :( I will always remember tagging along with Stephanie or Anne either going swimming or to the park with Devin when I was younger. It was always a good time! Anne always took care of us kids :)
