In Loving Memory of Norman Henry Stevenson, at the age of 75, died at the West Parry Sound Health Centre Friday morning, December 25, 2009.

Beloved husband of Joan White, loving father of Barry all of Orrville and Lori of Star Lake, Ontario. Chum was the son of the late Edna Hull and Norman Stevenson.

Dear brother of Edwin Stevenson (Bud) and his wife Mary Reid of Otter Lake. Chum was predeceased by brothers Harold (Nipper) and his wife Ethel Tudhope; George and his wife Doris Johnson; Wilbert (Wib) and his wife Phoebe Thomson; and sister Betty and her husband Jack Sheridan.

Special uncle to many nieces and nephews; fondly remembered by other relatives and friends.

Chum was born in Parry Sound on January 2, 1934. He married Joan in 1958 and worked on the custodial and maintenance staff of the West Parry Sound Board of Education. The students respected him and always referred to him as “Mr. Chum”. He will be remembered as a quiet, diligent man, always eager to lend a helping hand to others.

Memorial Service in celebration of Chum’s life to take place at the Logan Funeral Chapel, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (746-5855) on Wednesday, December 30th at 11:30 A.M.
Family will receive visitors prior to the Service from 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow.
