The family announces with sincere sadness the passing of Barry McPhaden on Friday, September 14th, 2018. Age 77 years.

Barry passed away peacefully in his sleep, while away at his camp with family and friends, after an enjoyable week of fishing. Over the past few months, Barry had been challenged with recent heart issues, which he responded to with pride and determination. His challenge ended on Friday, but at least he was in his Happy Place, which he enjoyed more than his home.

Beloved husband of the late Leona. Loving father of Mike and his wife Chris; the late Len, and daughter in law Lori McPhaden (Marc). Dear Grandpa of Randi, Taylor, Bailey, and Branden. Dear brother of Charlie (Marilyn), and the late Ozzy (wife Marilyn), and Donny. Barry will be sadly missed by his loving companion, Marilyn Helmkay. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Friday, September 28th, at Barry’s home, 45 Peninsula Shores Road, McDougall, Ontario, commencing at 3:00 P.M., with the service beginning at 4:00 P.M.

The family encourages donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
